Baked Pesto Califlower

Califlower is my favorite thing to eat for dinner. I usually bake it with lemon juice, and no salt seasonings. We went to a restutants in Las Vegas (in The Hotel) and they had the best pesto califlower. I made my own.
Cut your head of califlower up into bite sizes.
I used a little extra garlic.
Coat the uncooked califlower with your pesto, cover with foil and bake.
350 oven for 20 minute.
Your house will smell so amazing!!!!
Enjoy.....
I enjoyed with a glass of red wine.

Natural Lip Balm

My daughter and I use so much lip gloss, lip balm, carmex etc...... I started to think if I could slowly change the items my family uses the most to natural products the healthier we will be. Starting with lip balm or lip gloss. I found this supper easy recipe for an all natural lip balm. The recipe is below and it was a great project for my daughter and I to do. Check it out......

All you need is:
Coconut oil
Beeswax
Containers
Vitamin E

You will also need a grater for the beeswax and a purex or any microwavable glass.
 Basic ratio:
  • 2 parts coconut oil
  • 1 part beeswax
  • a few drops of vitamin E
I used 2 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 tablespoon of beeswax.
That measurement made 3 full 2oz containers

The vitamin E is not only good for your skin it also helps the shelf life. You can also add a few drops of food coloring and or essential oils.

microwave for 1 min then stir.
it will take about 3 min total.

Pour into containers (be carful very hot)
Let set....
(Over night)

Your Lips Will Love You.....

Back at it......

Yayyyyyyy  I'm back. I took a short (well almost 2 years) break. However today after dropping my kiddies off at school I got "Inspired". Inspired to start posting again. I have been so busy over the last year or so that I lost all my creative mojo. In the last 2 hours I have fought google and my brain to log back into "Agesvision". I never realized how many emails and passwords I have.
I started an Agesvision instagram and that was so easy I forgot to post on my blog. Shame on me.... I am having so much fun looking back at my past post. I forgot how much fun it was to just post things that intrigued me, inspired me, upset me, enlightened me.

So I'm back. I promise to post weekly for now......

Lillian Bassman Photography....

Bassman died Monday at 94 at her home in Manhattan, her son Eric Himmel announced, working right up until the end

Her photos captured a mid-century world of elegant, slightly elongated women, impeccably dressed, done up in high-contrast black and white. Avedon once described her style as making "visible that heartbreaking invisible place between the appearance and the disappearance of things."

I have always loved her photos.... her photography is considered to be among the greatest of the 20th century .

Crockpot Meatloaf

I went to pick up my kids today and asked them what they wanted for dinner??? Its amazing to me that my kids like my cooking. I mean I thing I have came a long way from my "Hamburger Helper" days, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with box meals. Heck my family lived off of them for years. However after my husband politelyy told me "Baby i hate hamburger helper, but I love you for trying" about five years ago I had to learn. I love cooking know and get super excited to try new recipes.
So asking the kids what they wanted my daughter replied "Meatloaf" this on a night that I had worked most of the day and good meatloaf takes a while. We decided on tamale pie.
So not ever wanting to let my little Rockstar down I bought all the things i needed for meatloaf for tomorrows dinner. I have work all day tomorrow sooooo what is a mommy to do?????
