Trend Report: New Botanicals

Off the runways, these new botanical prints look just as fresh, as today's four stylish examples show us. In fact, these daring flower designs are the perfect way to command attention at an evening soiree, whether painted on a youthful mini-dress or accompanied by a sultry silhouette. Speaking of the latter, Rihanna turned heads at a book-signing event at a New York Barnes and Noble store back in October, when she wore a Jean Paul Gautier Cotton Poplin Floral Dress ($2475, available at select Neiman Marcus stores). The frock's low neckline and subtle slit diffuse the sweetness of the floral print, and when paired with nude, point-toe Christian Louboutin pumps, the whole look is quite sexy and sophisticated. A few months later, Kirsten Dunst selected an equally stunning dress for her appearance at the Art of Elysium event in Los Angeles. We love the contrasting colors of her Ming-print Rodarte dress and how the high slit makes the frock a bit more daring. Additionally, we couldn't help but swoon over the Rodarte Blue and White Mink Print Silk Dress ($6210) Chloe Sevigny wore to the Los Angeles premiere of Big Love late last month.

10 Reasons To Make Today A Good Day!

1. Get started a few minutes early.  There's nothing like getting a head start

2. Complete an important pieces of unfinished business.  I always say tackle your most challenging tasks first than your rest of the day will be a piece of cake.

3. Be present, focus on where you are, what your'e doing and who you're with right now.  Live and do the best you can at all times.

4. Listen first.  When others are speaking or explaining a problem listen.  Take the time to listen to yourself, when you hear negative thoughts, think about the positive side of things.

5. Go somewhere new, see something new, meet someone new.  Explore your possibilities, be open to new suggestions and appreciate your surroundings.

6. Challenge your mind, learn a new skill.  Take french classes,  Learn something new the mind is a beautiful thing to waste.

7. Let someone help you.  Allow others to teach you something new, if it's something you already know how to do they might teach you a quicker and faster way to do it.

8. Get rid of clutter, stay organized.  Remove things you don't need. Spend 10 minutes a day getting rid of paper work, cleaning your e-mail inbox, organizing your closet ect..

9.  Don't compare yourself to others, instead let them inspire you.

10. Keep an open mind to new ideas and transformation.  Keeping an open mind may lead to a new business, new people and success.

Amanda Knox: A Year In A Foreign Prison

Wow this is so sad..... I just watched the Amanda Knox movie on Lifetime. Im not sure how I feel about it... I am sure that it is just a horrible situation to be in for all parties.

The best meatballs in town!!!!

OK so I have tons of mom who dislike Rachael Ray and her 30 min meals....  However I happen to love her quick and easy meals for a mommy of two and a wife of one..... I need fast, figure friendly meals. Meals that all of my family will like. My Pappa Bear is a "Meat and Potato's" type of guy, my Little Boy Bear is a drowned everything with ketchup of BBQ sauce and my little Princess is half the time a vegetarian "Meat is murder" she reminds me quite often as she helps me in the kitchen. So this a recipe that is fun, fast and easy. My kiddies help me make it too.

All u need is:

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds ground chicken or ground turkey.
  • 1 tablespoon steak seasoning
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup grated Parmigiana-Reggiano
  • 1/2 cup crumbs or crushed crackers kids love doing that
  • Handful of parsley leaves
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for liberal drizzling plus, plus 3 tablespoons, 3 turns of the pan
  • 2 large cloves garlic,
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, a healthy couple of pinches
  • 1 (28-ounce) of marinara sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  •  Basil fresh or not
  • 4 (6 to 8-inch) crusty sub rolls
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Place chicken in a bowl and season with steak seasoning. Add egg, half of the grated cheese, bread crumbs or crushed crackers, parsley, and a serious drizzle of extra-virgin olive oil to the bowl. Mix the meat and form 12 large meatballs. Squish the balls to flatten them a bit like mini oval meatloaves. Be careful not to form the balls wider than your bread. The flattened balls will stay put on your sub, no roll-aways! Bake the meatballs 15 minutes until golden and firm. Switch the broiler on.
While the meatballs bake, heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil and cut and peeled garlic cook 5 minutes then remove the cloves. Add crushed red pepper flakes then marinara. Season the sauce with salt and pepper and simmer 10 minutes, adjust seasonings and stir in the basil. Reserve a extra sauce for dipping on dinner table.
Remove the meat from oven. Put the meat balls in sauce.
Cut sub rolls making the bottom a little deeper than the top. Hollow out a little bread and lightly toast the sub rolls under broiler. Fill the bottoms of the breads with flattened balls and sauce. Combine the provolone or mozzarella and remaining Parmigiana. Cover the subs with cheese and return to broiler to melt the cheese until golden.

I am telling you this is one of my favorites..... There easy, less than 500 calories put sub and delicious!!!
You can even make your weekly spagetti and at these meat balls or sliders are always another option.
Try it out

Is romance dead??? Or was it ever real....

Is it just me or is the idea of a true romantic life false? I try to figure out if we are just so mest up from all the romantic movies and TV shows, we expect our love life to mirror those fictitious stories.  Is it so wrong to want to be wanted and chased. I think its not... I think if you hurt your partner in some way, shape or form the least you can and should do is say sorry. Flowers are nice too.... or some great sex for the man!!!! I have to try to figure out how to tell my daughter that all these great love stories she watches Cinderella, Beauty and the beast, Princess and the frog etc... are just forms of ENTERTAINMENT. That people in today's world would rather see who can play chicken long enough. Who is gonna give in and give up.  I wonder how life/love was in the 20s, 30s, and 40s? Because all I know of it is what i see in the movies.... so once again I led to believe what the movies say romance was. I truly think each person shows romance and love there own individual way. I think my kids watch there father and i to see what romance is. Is it to much to ask for to just do alittle extra every now and then. I have a friend who ended it with her child's father after years of being together because he couldn't show her the romantic affection she wanted. She would not settle for not having that in her life for the rest of her life..... Now that was pretty ballsy. To end it all and to say "I want and deserve more" Its either crazy on her end or weak on others. Weak meaning I know tons of women who want that "EXTRA" but never get it and just settle. Now don't get me wrong this is not to bash men this is to enlighten everyone. These women I speak about are the women doing what they are suppose to in their relationship, so are the men so its not unhealthy relationships. Its just missing the cream for the coffee. You can still drink it without, Its just soooo much better with!!!
Just like a man can live without regular sex, but his life is soooo much better with. What happen to the man climbing up the terrace with a rose in his mouth to your balcony????
Did that ever happen in real life.....
maybe its because most of us don't have balconies......

So in conclusion i think we are all doomed in the romantic department of love. I guess just being with someone you love and loves you back is enough.... Alot of people don't even have that!!! So go buy your own flowers, take yourself on a surprise romantic dinner don't wait around for others to do it.
